Week 5 - Framing Slideshow

Again, I felt I've used the framing technique enough to scrounge through my photos to fins a handful to share. I tried to find a number of different ways to frame a picture and limited my set to eight, which already took some discipline. Here's what I found:

I was especially happy with the ones taken in Great Britain (the alleyways and the arrow shooting holes) and Oregon (the beach caves). I just love fitting more and more objects into a shot, whether it be shadows, backgrounds, or frames.

Hi Jay,
You have some truly incredible shots!!! Are all of your shots digital or did you use 35 mm and had them on cd or scan? A lot of these could be framed (no pun intended).

Jay, You have so many great framing shots, and from all different fantastic locals, and yet my favorite shot is the car mirror. Why didn't I think of that? Great shot man. It simple and absolutly enjoyable.

Jay,

Nice framing shots! It is neat how well mirrors can add that extra touch to a photo. Now that I have forced myself to look for these types of shots, I will now be on the look out for them all the time. I love looking at the types of shots but never seem to find them myself. Nice work.

There are two great framing shots in your slide show that I love, the one of an alleyway (you can see part of a city though it) and the one of the beach. The beach photo seems so simple and yet there is so much to see. Absolutely beautiful!

I love the shot of the rear-view mirror. At my brother's graduation from Photography school, one of the students presented his project solely in rear-view mirror shots. It was incredible.

Good work on this slideshow I'm that you had used the technique enough otherwise I would wonder what you do for work to travel around so much in one week ;o)
